Through the month of February, the VENTuRE project was proud to present an online winter school tackling the implementation of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for marine applications.
Presented by Dr Yigit Demirel & Dr Soonseok Song, this course aimed to train researchers in the practical aspect of a CFD software (STAR-CCM+) for the maritime industry. The course included a hands-on practical session dealing with the practical basics of CFD analysis with a distinct focus on ship resistance prediction. The course was delivered using pre-recorded videos, as well as a live zoom ‘Q & A session’. The students learnt how to setup, run, and post-process a CFD simulation.
