VENTuRE team members, Ms Margot Cocard from the University of Strathclyde, and Mr Alessandro Taylor from Naval Architectural Services Ltd, NAS, attended the TRA 2022 – 9th Transport Research Arena in Lisbon, Portugal, from 14th to 17th November 2022.
The TRA2022 theme is “Moving together – reimagining mobility worldwide”. The conference themes included:
- Smart Solutions and Society
- Green Mobility and Decarbonisation
- Innovative Infrastructure for Europe 2030
- Policies and Economics for a Competitive Europe
Ms Cocard presented a VENTuRE joint conference paper “URANS prediction of ship performance: an analysis of propulsion system failure impacts on turning behaviours of a ship in waves” written by Dr Daejong Kim. Carlos Roque from the Portuguese National Civil Engineering Laboratory (LNEC) moderated the session related to theme Innovative Infrastructure for Europe 203 – safety and security.
