Dr Tahsin Tezdogan is currently a senior lecturer in Fluid Structure Interactions in the Department of Naval Architecture, at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. During the seminar, Dr Tezdogan will cover, in general terms, the process of publishing research in journals from start to finish. The seminar will offer insight from the perspective of a researcher detailing the lessons learned during the progression from a PhD student to a Senior Lecturer. The talk will also offer insight into the process from the perspective of a Deputy Editor of a Quartile 1 Journal.
To date, Dr Tezdogan has published more than 20 papers in highly ranked journals and has presented his research at several international conferences and workshops. In addition to this, Dr Tezdogan acted as a guest editor for an Ocean Engineering Special Issue on ‘CFD Applications in Ship and Offshore Structures’.
In April 2017 he was appointed as a Deputy Editor for Ocean Engineering journal. More recently, in September 2017, Dr Tezdogan was appointed to an ITTC Specialist Committee on Combined CFD/EFD Methods for three years. He is also a member of WEGEMT, RINA and the Scottish Branch of RINA.
